The Student Nurse Association at North Central State College is open to both Associate Degree Nursing and Practical Nursing students. The purpose of this association is to:
To assume responsibility for contributing to nursing education in order to provide for the highest quality of health care.
To provide programs representative of fundamental interests and concerns to nursing students.
To aid in the development of the whole person, including his/her professional role, his/her responsibility for health care of people in all walks of life.
National Student Nurses Association
With a membership of approximately 50,000 nationwide, the National Student Nurses' Association mentors the professional development of future nurses and facilitates their entrance into the profession by providing educational resources, leadership opportunities, and career guidance.
Foudation of the Nation Student Nurse Association
The Foundation of the National Student Nurses Association (FNSNA) was created in 1969 to honor Frances Tompkins, the Association's first Executive Director. Organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, the Foundation awards scholarships to qualified nursing students.
Meeting Times and Location
The Student Nurse Associate meet at 9:00 am on the first Wednesday of each month in Room 225 of the Health Sciences Center.
