Earning a CDA Credential will enhance your knowledge about children and what they need to be successful. Obtaining a CDA Credential can be your first step in earning a college degree in Early Childhood Education. Should you elect to continue toward completion of the degree program, a completed CDA Credential, awarded by the Council for Professional Recognition, will be substituted for the required two practicums and two seminars.

  • The CDA Credential is nationally recognized
  • In Ohio, the Step Up to Quality program requires 50% of assistant teachers in the 3-Star centers have the CDA Credential
  • Earn 12 College Credits
  • Earn 120 Clock hours
